No A.I. Over Here!

Allison Werner June 18, 2023

Deep in the age of technology, we are seeing everything from servers at restaurants to screenwriters for evening sitcoms being replaced by robots and other various artificial intelligence. It does come with a certain appeal: why waste a single iota of manpower on something if you don't have to? Why not run the most efficient and cost-effective production if you can? But in our minds, there is one response to both those questions that tips the scales the human touch and all that comes with it.

Don't Call Us Luddites

You will be hard-pressed to find our team on social media daily or even regularly. We are there, but we post when we are moved to post. And for good reason: business social media is stupid. Scroll through your Facebook to verify this point. Is there ever a business post where you a) actually care and/or b) don't feel like you are being sold something? Many realtors even use outside social media managers that cross post the same content across all their clientele nationwide while making vain attempts for it to appear unique. Have you noticed the Winterize Your Basement! posts each November? We have! We live in Florida! Hello!

7 tips for organizing your closet, 5 reasons to sell now, 3 reasons to choose X brokerage posts, etc. This mass-produced, A.I. -written stock info resides under a clickbait headline but the content actually provides little value. Our most important commodity is our attention, and we should not just give that away. So when you see us post on Facebook, it's actually us, our real opinion, our real expertise at work, or perhaps just a fun pic of our dogs. Authenticity, it's our thing!

Real socialization is meaningful, and that's how we'll keep it, thank you very much. So look for a personal email, a phone call, an invite to lunch from us, not meaningless drivel!

Original Content, With Purpose

Everything on our blog is written by our team. Why would we "waste the manpower" to create original material? Because we know that you are coming to us for genuine expertise, not some algorithmic regurgitation of Google-able facts. Consequently, everything you see and read on this site, including this very blog, came from our real brains and was typed by real fingers - not created in the internet ether!

We take it seriously that you trust us and believe that the best way to honor that trust is to take the time to do the real work, the analysis, the research, and get the hands-on experience to inform our blogs and market reports. And we made a pledge long ago that we would not waste your time with filler news, baloney blogs, or any other content we think is pointless or meaningless. Before we write anything, post it, or send it out, we ask ourselves: why does this matter to the person who is getting it? The only reason we write anything is because we think it is going to add value to your day.

It's Always Us. Period

Communication you receive from our team is always going to be from Karen or myself (the "we" to whom I always refer, or our Marketing Manager, the fabulous Molly Lanners). We are not trying to cut corners or efficiency-ize ourselves away from personal contact; we simply don't think it is meaningful to talk to you if it is not really us doing the talking. No amount of efficiency is worth us losing what we do best: truly getting to know our clients and serving them in the best, most competent and trustworthy way possible. Our team's tagline, back from when we were Couture, was and remains our guiding principle:

Attention to Detail, Authenticity, and Genuine Expertise Never Go Out of Style

The Bottom Line

We want to continue to have deep, meaningful relationships with our clients. We will never be filler in your lives! Thank you so much to many of you for referring us to your friends and family, which allows us to continue our mission and extend this level of service to the people you care about. We appreciate that you trust us with your purchases and sales, with your time and attention, and with your friends who also need our help! Speaking of meaningful contact, our 2023 Guide to Sarasota is out and ready! Sorry for the delay; we were moving but now we are settled and the guide has been updated for what's hot this year.
